Check Terms

The Check Terms feature supports the Maintenance process in the Management Workflow.

A project administrator may select a TextBase and execute a process to compare a custom or updated ontology, encapsulated as the Term entity in an SQL file, with that TextBase.  The Check Terms feature compares the values in the Term entity in that TextBase with the values in a custom or updated Term entity and reports on any Term variations that might impact on the edition substrates or analysis strata implemented in that TextBase.

The Home feature provides access to basic portal features (My TextBases, Shared TextBases, Reports and Import Image) and the corpus development workflow features (Strata Management, Text Aggregation, Text Alignment and Text Cubing).

If the logged in user is a project administrator, access is provided to advanced portal features Check Terms, Import Database and Upgrade TextBase which support the Management Workflow.

Upgrade TextBase

Users may select a TextBase and execute an SQL file against that TextBase.  The feature is designed to allow project administrators to upgrade TextBases from a supplied SQL file.  The feature may be used for any database upgrade occasioned by changes to READ database schema, code or Terms.  Used in tandem with the Check Terms feature, the Upgrade TextBase feature is used to implement new Terms upon resolution of any Term inconsistencies.  The Upgrade TextBase feature supports the Maintenance process in the Management Workflow.
